Aberdeen Technical Center, UK (Sentergy)
Primary Focus Areas: Memory Perforating Tools & Intervention Tools, Advanced Acoustic Imaging

The Aberdeen Technical Center has its heritage in two client driven technologies, driven by a local need, with global applications. Advanced acoustic imaging with the prospect of “seeing through casing strings” has been a long sort after goal for the upstream oil and gas business. Utilizing and adapting technology from naval based systems Probe is packaging an advanced acoustic imaging tool for applications in both the water industry and the upstream oil and gas business. The application of acoustic imaging for comprehensive well integrity assessment has major applications in the maturing hydrocarbon basins of the North Sea with a number of operators soliciting significant interest in the progress of the tools development.

Within maturing basins the need for cost-effective intervention and remediation services has driven many operators to evaluate slickline as conveyance method with tools and services being operated remotely and historical data sets stored for subsequent analysis. This need provided the drive for the company Sentergy to create its first platform of products in 2008. With an impressive established track record for trigger systems and ultra-fast pressure sampling gauges, and a desire to expand both geographic sales and manufacturing capability, Sentergy joined the Probe group in November 2010.
