The stray current monitor continuously monitors 3 parameters, ground integrity, voltage potential, and RF level. Continuous monitoring ensures that all signals are monitored at all times. In the event that any of the monitored signals were to exceed preset values, the user would immediately be alerted so that the appropriate action can be taken.
Ground Integrity - Grounds unit to rig/wellhead and monitors any resistance differences between them. An alarm sounds and an indicator lights when a preset resistance level is exceeded.
Voltage Potential - Monitors any voltage potential differences between unit and rig/wellhead. An alarm sounds and an indicator lights when a preset voltage potential difference is exceeded.
RF Monitoring - Monitors for RF fields that may be present. An alarm sounds and an indicator lights when a preset value representing RF field strength is exceeded.
