Cross coupling cable protectors are installed to hold the permanent downhole cable to the production tubing. The protectors are clamped across each tool joint and are designed to protect and support downhole cable from physical damage during installation and throughout the life of the well.
Cable Protectors are selected specifically for each well, tubing size, casing drift and cable configuration is taken into consideration. Options of cast steel and pressed metal construction are available depending on well application.
Specialist protectors are also available to provide adequate protection of cables around subsurface safety valves (SSSV), gas lift mandrels (GLM) and other downhole components.
