The Dual Gamma Ray Tool is typically run with an ejector tool to determine fluid velocity shots.
A pair of Geiger detectors, 1-inch x 12-inch diameter, are utilized with one located at either end of the tool. The tool is stackable with many other 1 3/8-inch tools and contains switching circuitry to allow operator selection. The circuitry can be tailored to switch at specified customer requested voltages.
The gamma ray data is driven onto a mono-cable wireline and can be received at surface level by any logging system capable of processing pulse data. This tool outputs a default positive or negative polarity on the wireline.
