The IntelleX™ Mechanical Pressure/Temperature Safety Switch can be used as an integral part of the Electronic Firing Head or can be used as a standalone perforating safety device. The mechanical switches provide multiple fixed barriers between the power supply and the device to be fired allowing compliance with API Recommended Practice 67.
The pressure switch provides an open circuit to the power supply while continually grounding the device to be fired until the pressure rises above a factory-set pressure switch point.
The temperature switch provides a continual ground to the device to be fired until temperature rises above a factory-set switch point.
The lower head, as standard, includes an integral Kemlon pressure barrier to ensure the tool sting is not flooded as the perforating guns detonate.
