The Radii™ tool is a cost-effective, versatile tool that works in a wide variety of cement evaluation applications. It is fully combinable with the rest of Probe’s casing integrity and corrosion platform.
Probe’s Radii™ tool is of high quality steel construction with oil filled, pressure compensated transmitter and receiver sections. A single transmitter, one receiver spaced at 5ft from the transmitter that generates the VDL signal and 8 segment receivers at 3ft from the transmitter which generates the cement map and a composite CBL signal.
Additionally, Radii™ has the unique benefit of electronic and firmware design that allows the tool to be auto-calibrated inside a calibration fixture. This feature ensures that all receivers are fully normalized for the type of cable, surface acquisition system and borehole fluid, hence any signal variation during a logging operation is only attributed to the changes in the cement bond.
The High temperature 2 ¾” Dual Receiver CBT Radii™ tool provides the same quality of the measurement for cement bond amplitude, VDL and Cement Map for evaluation of the cement bond in high-temperature and high-pressure environments. Field performance has been proven up to 475DegF for up to 4 hours of operations and up to 400F for up to 6 hours.
