Probe Announces Appointment of Aberdeen General Manager

As part of this week’s communications program at OE 2017, Probe announced the appointment of Mike Rennie as General Manager of Aberdeen Technology Center and EWA GeoCenter.

Mike a seasoned oilfield professional, joined Probe in his new role in August. He began his career in 1989 upon joining Baker Hughes in the North Sea and served multiple assignments with increasing responsibilities across Europe, Middle East and various countries in FSU over the next 23 years. He then joined Halliburton in 2013 where he served as Sales Manager for UK, Norway and Denmark.

With an international career spanning nearly 30 years, Mike has not only gained a wealth of experience, but has established strong relationships across the industry.

“I am very happy to welcome Mike into our organization,” said Federico Casavantes, Probe CEO. “Our Aberdeen hub is extremely important to the business, not only as a development center for many our leading cased hole solutions, but as a direct link to a strong customer base that contributes actively in generating ideas that Probe translate into value adding products. Coming across a manager with Mike’s background and his ability to connect and serve our customers, fills me with confidence that we will continue to grow in this region.”

Mike was quick off the mark to comment, “Although the industry has been through tough times, our ability to provide intelligent solutions is well known across the industry. Our product reliability, and perhaps most important, the reliability of our people in their support and responsiveness of our products are respected. I am really excited to become part of the Probe team and am looking forward to contributing to expand our presence and serve the market.”

Federico went on to conclude, “It is great that Mike has joined Probe. Working with him over the past few days at Offshore Europe has enabled me to see his interaction with our customers and to witness firsthand how well connected he is. This increases our customers’ confidence in our ability to continue to be their point of reference for intelligent solutions and reliable technology.”
