The small diameter Digital Cement Bond Tool (CBT) uses a single acoustic transmitter and dual acoustic receivers spaced at 3 ft. and 5 ft. to accurately measure the quality of the cement job in a cased-hole environment.
This tool uses an oil filled mandrel and all ceramic transducers to withstand the hostile environment of the wellbore and provide good stability over the operating range of the tool.
The electronics section is constructed using state of the art surface-mount electronic modules secured in a ruggedized package. The CBT can be stacked with Gamma Ray /Casing Collar Locator (CCL), Neutron & Compensated Neutron tools.
The CBT accepts pulse from below and transmits the data uphole using Probe PTX telemetry. The electronics also contain firmware to perform an auto-calibrate routine when calibrated in a bond tool calibration fixture. These waveforms are stored in the tool and can be transmitted uphole upon operator demand.
