Description
The RAS Sigma Tool (RAS-Σ), is a multi-detector pulsed-neutron system for measuring reservoir saturation using Sigma techniques. The sonde features three gamma detectors, the near and the far are high resolution Lanthanum Chloride detector for Sigma measurements, the long spacing is a Sodium Iodide detector with a spacing that is sensitive to gas and porosity.
The tool also operates in Water Flow (oxygen activation mode) for determining water velocity.
Reservoir Geoscience support is available to map the measurements in to reservoir properties such as oil saturation, porosity and rock type.
Operating on Hunter’s fast tool bus the RAS-Σ can be run in combination with any Probe core product including Spectral GR, RADII, MAC, Production Logging and Array PL tools.
